In 2020 the ABRSM introduced online testing for their grade 1 to 5 theory examinations. Whilst the syllabus content remains largely unchanged the format of the questions has had to change to make them more suited to the online format. The new Discovering Music Theory series, available for grades 1 to 5, consists of workbooks and answer books and will lead students through the new format. There’s also a new set of Sample papers for the exams.
All the previous work and text books designed to prepare students for ABRSM Theory are still relevant, and continue to provide vital practice and preparatory material.
